The legacy of SCOTT “WINO” WEINRICH in the world of heavy music is indisputable and ever-evolving, and here he teams up with CONNY OCHS, a songwriter so pure and honest in his output that he seems to be the perfect partner for WEINRICH. The two met for the first time in 2010 when OCHS was supporting WINO on his acoustic solo tour promoting his acclaimed solo album, Adrift. Together the two wrote, performed and recorded an incredible set of soulful tunes as well as a Townes Van Zandt cover track, which would become their first collaborative album, Heavy Kingdom. The artwork contains drawings by both WEINRICH and OCHS, and follows the dedicated and deeply personal approach of the whole album.
"Wino & Conny Ochs are spectacular musicians and, even on just an acoustic record, they prove that they are skilled, masterful musicians who cannot be labeled. They exceed labels, they exceed life. They are music, they are geniuses. Amazing work.10/10" - American Aftermath
"...the simple fact that it was recorded in the 21st century makes it somehow more profound. It feels timeless. Heavy Kingdom is the sound of depth; one that comes from stubbornly following your road no matter where it leads. 4/5" - All Music Guide
