Wilmington, DE - April, 27 2011 – "Eric from Philly" is a popular singer and songwriter that has captured the hearts and ears of fans across the United States. Eric is about to embark on his second tour across the US promoting his CD, "All Over The Place". The tour will start in Wilmington Delaware, Eric's home town, and continue on through Florida, The Mid West and back again.
"Eric from Philly" has been inspired by many rock / blues/ folk legends including, but not limited to, Jeff Buckley, Tom Waits, Albert King, Bob Dylan and Ryan Adams. Eric covers an array of genres including Modern and Classic Rock, Blues and Americana, while also playing a well stocked list of popular cover songs. He is a definite crowd pleaser and brings an intense amount of energy while being up close and personal with the audience.
While Eric toured with Alia as Buffalo Medicine last year, this summer he is venturing out on his own this time solo and acoustic. "Last years tour taught many lessons about life, humanity, human nature, spirit and purpose," says Eric. "It is the premise of my 2011 tour to put these lessons learned in to practice, give back and create." "Eric from Philly" will tour in a variety of venues including nightclubs, lounges, bars, cafes and house concerts across the country. Eric's tour will kick off at home on Wednesday April 28th at the Blue Parrot in Wilmington, DE at 9pm.
"All my adult life, I have searched for a way to pursue my dream of making a living as a musician, while also living a life of contribution" says Eric Levy, singer and songwriter, "Eric from Philly." "I love open hearted and open minded people, and, ultimately, I seek truth in all things. I believe we are all one, from the same source, and have a good feeling that we are coming into a time where we are finally awakening to this realization. Humanity has inspired me to create and my vocation is to share my art, my music and my sound with all those who listen on this tour I hope to play and write songs for a second album." While Eric is completely self-supporting his tour, he is currently seeking corporate sponsorship and possibly a charity in order to give back. Giving back to humanity is paramount for Eric.
