The Hackensaw Boys first began playing their joyful blend of old-time and bluegrass-tinged string-band music on the streets of Charlottesville, Virginia in the autumn of 1999. Buster Blue's eclectic sound jumps from breezy folk pop to loud unhinged rock and sounds like it belongs in an illicit speakeasy retrofitted for the new millennium. Everything musical may have been done before, but Buster Blue has found a niche inhabited by their off-kilter creation alone.
