Tannahill Weavers

The Tannahill Weavers, long Scotland's premier traditional band, are known for gorgeous ballads with intricate vocal and instrumental blends and rousing jigs, reels and battle tunes featuring Highland pipes. A rare chance to hear the band the NY Times says "has found an especially elegant mixture of old and new". Their "music may be old time Celtic but the drive and enthusiasm are akin to straight ahead rock and roll" (Winnepeg Free Press). "The band's potent mixture of traditional ballads and fiery instrumentals leave their audiences spellbound" (Irish American News). This is the Tannies first performance in Albuquerque in years.
