It has been a crazy stupid stressful busy time. but all due to wonderful things. I feel truly sorry for the people on the hard end of all the recent tragedies. It's a difficult world to live in sometimes. I'm also incredibly grateful for the blessings we all receive and my own ability to survive and work with such great friends and talented artists. I've upgraded my home studio in order to do more ambitious recording projects and to continue be a long distance session player. I worked on Dustin Overbeek's newest this year as well as Ellis Paul's Christmas album... and I just finished doing electric guitar layering on Sonia's (Disappear Fear) newest album which gets a European release in April. Not sure yet when the US release date is. I LOVE her and her music and it was a blast laying down about 30 guitar tracks for her new album which was recorded by Mike Poole (Buddy Miller, Martina McBride, Robert Plant) in Nashville.
Mike would send me the files at the end of the recording day there in Nashville and I would work through the night here in my DAW in Taos and send the files back over to him. All internet based file transfers. Didn't leave my house for days.
So large blessing, light and love to all of you. Thank you for every little thing.... and Happy 2013!! DonCon
