Comprised of five musical members who have spent nearly their entire lives in northern New Mexico, or were born and raised here, Kathy and the Cruisers has been keeping dancers’ feet moving and bodies swaying since the spring of 2010. Playing most of the major indoor and outdoor venues in the local area, their style of music is geared specifically towards good-time dance music—regardless of genre. Led by dynamic vocalist Kathy Hall, her strong vocal interpretations give new life to many a familiar cover tune.
Kathy’s singing experience dates back to her youth when she traveled the country as a professional singer, opening for and sharing stages with the likes of Willie Nelson and Asleep at the Wheel. Having taken a break from the chaotic life of a touring performer, Kathy returned to northern New Mexico where her family had strong ties. Taking the time to raise her daughter and live a more “normal” life, Kathy then returned to singing with her current band-mates, Bob Pace (bass), Miles Hinton (drums), Nick Wimett (guitar and vocals), and Ken Gallard (guitar and vocals). Their style of music runs through many musical genres including rhythm and blues, classic rock, blues, funk, country, reggae and whatever else gets people up and dancing. The only message in their music is, “Baby…let the good times roll!!”
