Lisa is a longtime Taos artist, writer, and musical spirit who is now finding her own performing voice after spending years assisting others in the indie musician/singer-songwriter trenches. This included helping out friends (and former Taos residents) Vivian Nesbitt and John Dillon develop their national songwriting/creativity show, Art of the Song, as well as having been an assistant to musical artists and festivals everywhere from New Orleans, Austin, and Memphis to New Mexico and Colorado, and even a stint singing with irish and english folk musicians in Europe. These experiences, along with studying songwriting with Darrell Scott, Mary Gauthier, and others, have brought a rich depth of style and thoughtfulness to Lisa's writing, singing, and guitar playing, carrying influences of everything from Townes Van Zandt-style americana to melodic folk, soul, old-timey, with a touch of rock'n'roll and rhythm & blues. Deonne Kahler of the Taos News once wrote "Lisa has a soulful, satisfying vocal delivery"; others have likened her voice to Joan Baez. It all gels into an engaging package for listeners who love music for, like Townes wrote, "the sake of the song".
