British suburbanites Laurence and Beverly are entertaining their new neighbors, Angela and Tony as well as Susan, whose teenage daughter, Abigail is having a party to which Susan has been dis-invited.

"A brutally accurate portrait of people who link ownership with status and who surround themselves with expensive objects...for which they have no practical use... An almost Strindbergian vision of marital loathing." - Guardian UK

Skillful cast shines in dark comedy ~ Matthew Yde, Albuquerque Journal
"This dark British comedy requires skillful actors, and thankfully...West End Productions is graced by an outstanding cast equal to the challenge... What makes this production so compelling is the detail and subtlety the actors bring to their parts... Their British dialects are perfect...you will feel like a fly on the wall of a London suburban flat as you watch in fascinating horror...you will be glued to your seat... This is ensemble playing at its finest, and Tim Crofton, Dean Squibb, Jessica Osbourne and Laira Magnusson are all able to match Colleen McClure's brilliance (as Beverly)."

...pacing is just right, throwing us curves here and there as the characters drag us into their muck.  ~ Rob Spiegel, Talkin' Broadway
"Marty Epstein has put together a terrific ensemble of actors. Colleen McClure...is fabulous as Beverly...the actors are having a riot putting them through their paces...All...actors are lovely to watch...The set design by Dean Squibb is perfect...The accents, lighting, music, everything works...Excellent job, all."

Abigail's Party was first presented at the Hampstead Theatre in London on April 18, 1977. It was directed by the author.
