SAN FRANDELIC SUMMER FEST!!
Bare Wires patent their own brand of electrified garage punk, fusing glam glitter pop with garage punk grime, producing a sound that has been called everything from "Soft Punk" to "Leather Jacket Rock". The Oakland-based trio started in 2007 as a side project of Matthew Melton with the release of a crude garage punk single entitled "Voodoo Doll", released on European label Solid Sex Lovie Doll. Adding his own analog recording system into the mix in search of a rawer sound, Melton continued to record under the name Bare Wires, releasing the Artificial Clouds LP on Tic Tac Totally in 2009. With solid mid-fi production and a minimalist aesthetic, Artificial Clouds disposed the jagged, proto-punk edges of the previous recordings and moved towards a smoother, hook-laden, but no less scrappy sound. Bare Wires new "smooth punk" aesthetic was expressed on the Let Down 7" (Milk n Herpes), a dirty, sleazy pair of fuzz-doused songs with guitars ripping through a crunching amplifier on a hazy cloud of smoke. With their latest album, Seeking Love, recorded in Melton's bedroom studio in Oakland, CA, Bare Wires deliver ten stadium-ready tracks of hand-clapping, speaker-blasting rock n' roll, while remaining true to the sincerity and authenticity that has become Melton's songwriting trademark. Bare Wires is comprised of vocalist and guitarist Matthew Melton, bassist Fletcher Johnson, and drummer Nathan Price.
"The Groggs deliver a staggering blast of new garage rock, with hints of punk and power-pop sing-alongs, all wrapped up in a gritty package for a classic sound that spans decades.” - Mat Weir, GOOD TIMES SANTA CRUZ
OUTLAW was formed somewhere between Twin Peaks, The Twilight Zone, Paranoid & Frances The Mute. OUTLAW expemplifies psychedelic rock and has built a reputation over the past two years of being one of the loudest and most unpredictable bands in the bay area. Some of their live shows have drawn comparisons to those of The Brian Jonestown Massacre.

The Love Dimension - With influences that span the musical universe, The Love Dimension is a Bay Area psychedelic blues garage punk band whose shows have become an amazingly eclectic mix of music's past and future. From funky bass lines to original lyrics that shine light through the spectrum of love and the inner journey, The Love Dimension successfully rocks the audience out of their minds, into their hearts, and onto the dance floor.
The Hypnotist Collectors - Hailing from West Oakland's own historic 7th street, The Hypnotist Collectors have made long strides in only one year. Formed at the dawn of 2010, they are quickly creating a buzz in the SF Bay area as being an exciting live rock n' roll band, bringing a refreshing and unique take on 60's inspired American blues and folk. It's familiar, yet somehow hard to pin down their sound. Just standing in the audience of one of their live shows you will hear others talking of CCR, Neil Young & Crazyhorse, the Black Crowes, and the Band. With their debut LP, Worn Out Factory just released in June 2011, be sure to catch them when they travel through your town.
Moccretro - Based out of San Francisco, their haunting noise peels paint off the wall, then covers your rusted skeleton with giant dollops of bright and brilliant modulation. Bending between micro-tonalities, invisible waves forcefully shove out your sloppy thought organ and send it to the lunar surface where Argonauts play golf with it hitting a musical hole in one.
Poor Sons - Blending disparate sounds from sixties blues, garage punk, underground psychadelia and even sludge metal, San Francisco’s POOR SONS fuse myriad exotic influences into a soul destroying power-psych chimera of sex, art and death. After quickly establishing a reputation for transforming tiny art studios and quiet bars without stages or sound systems into raging tropical storms of guitar-powered madness, they have entered the studio and are currently hard at work on their first EP. The POOR SONS are the backyard amp stacks, the midnight skateboards and bicycles, and the flower-tattooed end of the universe in the unreachable dives of The Bay.
The Lotus Moons - These dudes seem to think they can rip off late 60s beatles, the velvet underground, jonestown, the stones, the growlers, neil young and a bunch of other cool shit, add in lyrics about being loving druggy soulful scummy oakland rockers and kick out jams in straight 2 guitar bass drums 3 part harmony psyched out R&B style? what a bunch of assholes. brian fernald, roger poulin, sean carney & hopefully we find a new drummer by then.
Family Matters - The first song Family Matters attempted to play was Tom Sawyer. It sounded horrible so they made an attempt to learn Lexicon Devil which didn't sound any better. Wendy is not allowed to drink Simpler Times at practice.

Rosa Grande - Sludge pop. Arena rock relegated to the basement, the garage, and the dive bar. Thunderous, riffy, catchy, and stoney. Rosa Grande makes the kind of music that recalls a simpler time, a time when the good times van was the only country you needed and the beer flowed like wine. Rosa Grande is a Kalifornia sunset played to the tune of a rolling thunderstorm. Rosa Grande is your Initiation into the kosmos of Thunder Rock.

The Tet Holiday are a rock 'n' roll band from Oakland, CA that enjoys performing pop songs at psychedelic volume. Their other interests include listening to My Bloody Valentine, Big Star, The Stone Roses, Phil Spector, Smashing Pumpkins, Husker Du and The Jesus & Mary Chain over and over again, as well as taking long walks on the beach.
Jared Gonzalez sits in his room and writes a whole bunch of songs. He lives rent free in Oakland at the nicest squat you've never been to where he'll make you listen to, "this awesome song you have to hear" and tell you about bands you don't care about. You've probably seen him at a show or house party and don't know his name.
