Steding draws inspiration from vintage country and western music, traditional folk and early rock n' roll. His music falls between the folk/country stylings of Jerry Jeff Walker and the stone cold country sound of Merle Haggard. Raised in a musical Florida family, on the railroad sounds of Johnny Cash and the jingle jangle of The Byrds, his musical preference leaned country from an early age.
