Jeremy Steding’s fifth studio album, Odessa, travels hard. Along the ride, love is won and lost, whiskey is spilled and life’s meaning is questioned. Immediately, your heart rate rises to meet the rhythm of the gritty title track, a driving song that paints an ominous picture of the west Texas namesake. 

​Steding draws inspiration from vintage country and western music, traditional folk and early rock n' roll. His music falls between the folk/country stylings of Jerry Jeff Walker and the stone cold country sound of Merle Haggard. Raised in a musical Florida family, on the railroad sounds of Johnny Cash and the jingle jangle of The Byrds, his musical preference leaned country from an early age. It was while attending the University of Florida, that Steding was turned onto Texas/Red Dirt Music.
