Sacred Land, Sacred Water:

Confluences in the Rio Grande Valley

Produced by Lewis Jacobs, Craig Barth and Don T. Phillips

Public premiere of a documentary film, by Lewis Jacobs and Craig Barth, about the importance of protecting our drinking water supply from the impending threat of fracking in the Albuquerque Basin.  Inspired by geologist Donald T. Phillips, this film includes interviews of concerned citizens, clips of public testimony and a highly illustrated presentation of the subsurface geology of the Rio Grande Rift, as well as of the techniques of horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracking.  The film will be followed by Q&A with the producers, and a panel discussion with local authorities and experts.
