Hanale Bishop was born and raised in Kahalu'u. He now resides in Waiahole where he runs his own kalo farm. He has been described as the Hawaiian Keith Urban, with a touch of David Grey. His 2014 debut album, Rainwork, was nominated for alternative album of the year at the Na Hoku Hanohano Awards. Hanale Bishop music is mostly inspired be nature, plants, rivers, and rains.
