The New York Times referred to Aimee’s major label release, It’s a Good Day, as “a bravura turn, presented with a smile.” Aimee was primarily raised in France by a French-Dominican parentage. She has received numerous awards as well as critical acclaim including: first prize at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2007, a finalist in both the French version of American Idol and the legendary Thelonius Monk International Jazz Vocal Competition in 2010, and winning the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal competition in 2012. In 2013, Aimee was cast by Stephen Sondheim in the Encore Special Presentation starring Bernadette Peters at New York City’s City Center.
