GIPSY KING TRIBUTE - OASIS RADIO NIGHT
INSIDE THE ALBUQUERQUE MUSEUM DUE TO WEATHER
NEW MEXICO DEBUT!
Chilean guitarist and singer Rodolfo Troncoso started playing Rumba Flamenca at the age of 11. He learned to play this beautiful style of music from French gypsies who are from the same town where the Gipsy Kings grew up in France.
Rumba Flamenco is a powerful and haunting rhythm that lends itself to be beautifully combined with pop music. The Gipsy Kings have used this formula to achieve worldwide success by adapting well-known songs such as “My Way” and “Hotel California” to rumba flamenco, thus creating their own unique rumba versions of these classics.
Rodolfo Troncoso, along with his band composed of Latin Grammy Award winning percussionist Ramses Araya, guitarist Pedro Navarro, and singer Cassandra Lark, will interpret favorite classics. They will also share some of their own rumba adaptations in a very special “Tribute to the Gipsy Kings".
