First Flower Fridays: Judy Chicago in Conversation with Jori Finkel

Join us for our inaugural First Flower Fridays event! Judy Chicago will be in conversation with Jori Finkel about women pioneers of abstract painting, including Hilma af Klint, Georgia O’Keeffe and Agnes Pelton. Their topic is inspired by an interview that Chicago did with Finkel for her new book It Speaks to Me (Prestel 2019). Their talk will be followed by a book signing.

Jori Finkel covers art for The New York Times from Los Angeles and is the West Coast correspondent for The Art Newspaper. She has also written for ARTnews, Art in America, W, and Art+Auction Magazine, where she was formerly senior editor, and lectures widely on contemporary art. Her new book It Speaks to Me (Prestel) features 50 artists on artworks they find inspiring from museums around the world.
