The Jake Walden Band

Raw. Real. Rocking. South Florida-based Jake Walden is keeping the blues alive with his unique brand of music, which has catapulted him onto the scene and led to his quick rise as an in-demand guitarist and vocalist. Inspired by iconic guitar players such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Bonamassa and others, Jake has developed a rich, R&B-esque, funky, blues guitar-playing style that he feels deeply... and audiences love. Jake developed his slide playing based on the styles of Duane Allman and Derek Trucks, yet his sound is all his own. It resonates and captivates. As a full-time, professional musician and songwriter, Jake is fulfilling his calling. In 2018, Jake was selected to represent Florida's Treasure Coast chapter of the Blues Foundation in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. For 30-plus years, this major event hosts top talent from all over the world. Jake was both honored and humbled to have competed. Jake has played alongside notable musicians such as Popa Chubby, Matt Scofield, Jeff Prine, Joel DaSilva, Mark Telesca, JL Fulks, JP Soars, Frank Bang, and Shaw Davis. Jake also played and recorded with Tyler Greenwell, the Grammy-award-winning drummer for Tedeschi Trucks Band. From headlining gigs with his own band (which plays Jake’s original songs and also covers from greats like Jeff Beck, Buddy Guy, Jimi Hendrix, The Allman Brothers and more) or playing as a special guest to touring acts visiting Florida, look for Jake Walden on the stage... and in the spotlight.

Joel DaSilva

Joel DaSilva has blues and rock n roll running through his veins. Born and raised in his sweet home, Chicago, DaSilva hails from a musical family. His mother and father traveled throughout Brazil and Ukraine, his mother a singer and father accompanying her on guitar. His father passed away when he was 3, but Joel continues to channel that soulful energy in his live performances to this day.As soon as he was old enough to work, Joel took a job as a bar back in a blues and rock joint where his older brother tended bar. The goal was to get closer to the music, immersing in the scene. Eventually, he was setting up equipment for touring bands and getting to know them in exchange for lessons from the masters and lessons in Music Business 101.

By the age of 18, DaSilva joined his first band as lead guitarist for Junior Drinkwater & the Thirstquenchers. He went on to play guitar and sing in jump blues in the Regulators, psychobilly, and surf-oriented band The Underbellies, and the frontman for rockin' blues act, the Hep Cat Boo Daddies before breaking out on his own as a solo artist.

Joel DaSilva and the Midnight Howl formed and with a resume that includes acting in indie movies as well as performances with heavy hitters like B.B. King, A.C.Reed, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Reverend Horton Heat , The Alabama Shakes, and opening for acts as varied as: J.J. Grey, Nick Curran, the Smithereens, Foghat, Los Lobos, The White Stripes , Leon Russell , Magic Slim and the Teardrops, The Black Crowes, Nighthawks, and Jimmie Vaughan, etc, etc. DaSilva has already made a mark in the industry; and is poised to become a power player......He is the real deal.
