Rooster McClintock has been Humboldt County's source of original foot-stomping honky-tonk tunes since 2006. They have returned after a long hiatus to perform and record the songs that made them a household name in the vibrant and diverse Humboldt County music scene.
The New Pelicans are a Humboldt County band that plays Americana music, a blend of Southern soul, alt-country and a taste of rock and roll. The group mixes originals by the two Georgia-born songwriters -- Michael Walker and Mike Bynum -- with classic Americana cover songs.
The New Pelicans are comprised of four members of the former Handshakers Band -- Walker, guitar/vocals, Bynum, guitar/vocals and Gary Davidson, bass/vocals and Paul DeMark, drums - with mandolinist Darren Weiss.
