Super group of 60's musical icons and historical figures appear in Arcata for one night only. The second annual Turtle's Feast is scheduled for Friday, December 12, 2025, at HumBrews in Arcata, California. The VIP Feast begins at 7 PM with a meet and greet with the band and luminaries from the 60's. Bring your favorite album for a signature during the VIP dinner featuring Barry "The Fish" Melton (Country Joe and the Fish, Dinosaurs) , Greg Douglass (rock and roll hall of famer with Steve Miller Band and co-writer of "Jungle Love") and Roy Blumenfeld (Blues Project) alongside accomplished local players, , Matt Engel (Naïve Melodies) , Leslie Ostrom (Grateful Getdown , Magnificent Sanctuary Band) , and Norman Bradford (Magnificent Sanctuary Band). The doors open for general admission at 8 PM and will begin promptly with a live Zoom interview and improvisation with Ken Babbs, one of the founders of the Merry Pranksters. After the zoom interview and performance, there will be a presentation by the widow of Owsley Stanley, Rhoney Stanley. She will also be signing copies of her book, Owsley and Me. The all-star Turtle's Feast Band will begin shortly after 9 PM. Los Chicharrónes and other local musicians will also grace the stage in the later evening keeping the music going till 1 AM. This is meant to be an all-inclusive holiday community celebration of love, diversity, and inclusion. For the holidays, unique merchandise will be offered including tie-dye die and neon clothing, blotter art and pins from Zane Kesey, and a silent auction of Prankster memorabilia including prankster posters, a pair of shorts worn by Anonymous and signed by Mickey Hart and other pieces of prankster history.
