Dax Riggs http://www.myspace.com/daxriggs A crucial figure in the Southern branch of the extreme metal community, Dax Riggs was born in Evansville, IN, on October 15, 1973, where he lived with his mother after the divorce of his parents. As Riggs edged into adolescence, he began to question his mother’s devotion to the faith of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, and he moved to Houma, LA, to live with his father. While initially Riggs didn’t care for life down south, in his teens he developed a passion for rock & roll, and after singing with a pair of short-lived local bands, Riggs became the lead vocalist with the pioneering sludge metal band Acid Bath, featuring guitarists Sammy Duet and Mike Sanchez, bassist Audie Pitre, and drummer Jimmy Kyle. While Acid Bath’s punishing but trippy, groove-laden sound would prove to be deeply influential, the group’s audience was frustratingly small during its existence, and the band called it quits in 1997 after the death of Audie Pitre in an auto accident. After fronting a short-lived group called Daisyhead & the Mooncrickets, Riggs re-emerged on the music scene with Agents of Oblivion, which also included Acid Bath guitarist Mike Sanchez as well as Alex Bergeron on bass, Jeff McCarty on drums, and Chuck Pitre on keyboards.
Agents of Oblivion’s sound was as doomstruck as Acid Bath, but the approach was more subdued, showing the influence of traditional hard rock and blues in its slower tempos and smoother melodies. Agents of Oblivion released one album in 2000, but broke up not long after completing a tour to support it. After the collapse of Agents of Oblivion, Riggs formed a new band, Deadboy & the Elephantmen, which sported a stripped-down, blues-based sound and featured Riggs playing guitar as well as singing. The group’s first album, 2002’s If This Is Hell, Then I’m Lucky, was a full-band affair, with Riggs joined by Jason Dupre on guitar, Chris Gautreaux on bass, and Jeff Lecompte on drums, but he pared the group back to a duo for 2005’s We Are Night Sky, with Riggs joined by drummer Tess Brunet. In late 2006, Brunet quit the band, and as Riggs was recording Deadboy & the Elephantmen’s third album with a rotating crew of musicians, he opted to abandon the group moniker and release the music under the name Dax Riggs. Featuring some of Riggs’ most powerful and emotionally incisive music to date, We Sing of Only Blood or Love was released in the summer of 2007. Mark Deming, All Music Guide

Sam’s Going Away Party & Severin’s Birthday Party. All rolled into one.....
We’ve just finished our new album called The Black Dirt Sessions. It will be out June 8th.
What’s the deal with Deer Tick?
I, John, have written the bulk of our songs. Lately, its been more of a band effort. Ian has contributed a few songs to our live show that we hope to record soon. Dennis is working on some songs that we’ll integrate into our catalogue, too. We’ve got three albums under our belt: War Elephant (2007), Born On Flag Day (2009), and The Black Dirt Sessions (2010). We also released an EP, More Fuel for the Fire, in 2009.
Basically we play all sorts of music and are heavily influenced by legend status songwriters and performers, like Tom Petty and Sammy Davis, Jr. We consider ourselves a rock n roll band. Our live shows sometimes tend to go a bit haywire. We like to put on memorable shows, the kind of shows that you don’t see very often. If you don’t want to get covered in beer or confetti at one of our shows, I’d suggest not standing up in the front.
We also like doing cover songs. Some songs, like "These Old Shoes", are written by friends of ours (Chris Paddock); whereas other songs, like "La Bamba", are traditional Mexican folk songs. We’ve covered a good number of songs from artists such as Hank Williams, John Prine, Nirvana, The Beatles, Michael Hurley, The Sex Pistols, The Replacements, Sean Kingston, The Shivers, Warren Zevon... I could go on for awhile, but I’d like to let you know that we’re working on a few new surprise covers that we’ll be pulling out this year.
I named the band Deer Tick after taking a hike in Indiana with my good friend Brendon Massei, who you may know as Viking Moses. I discovered a deer tick on my scalp later that evening. Surprisingly, growing up in Rhode Island and frequently going on camping and fishing trips as a youngster, I had managed to go 19 years of my life without ever getting a tick. Some folks have taken offense to the name, but its not like we’re advocates or parasitic arachnids, I just thought it sounded cool. I’d also like to note that I had never heard of Deerhoof or Deer Hunter until it was too late. Sorry guys.
We’ve played our asses off since the beginning and do not foresee slowing down anytime soon. Here’s a few folks we’ve had the privilege of sharing the stage with: Neko Case, The Felice Brothers, Nas, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Jenny Lewis, J.D. Souther, Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings, Dead Confederate, A.A. Bondy, you get the picture. And this year we’ll be touring with such outstanding artists as Dr. Dog, Those Darlins, and Holy Sons. I’m sure there’s much more awesome stuff ahead this year than the four of us could imagine, and we’d like to thank our fans for their continued support. See you out on the road, Tickheads!
Dead Confederate http://www.myspace.com/deadconfederate Dead Confederate take a spacy approach to indie rock by peppering their music with psychedelic songcraft and atmospheric washes of guitar. Seeds for the band’s formation were planted during the late-’90s, when future bandmates Hardy Morris (vocals, guitar), Brantley Senn (bass), Walker Howle (guitar), John Watkins (keyboards), and Jason Scarboro (drums) bonded over a shared affinity for Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath. Although hailing from Augusta, GA, the quintet relocated to Atlanta following college. A second move quickly followed, this time to Athens, where the group doubled its touring efforts and caught the attention of former Capitol Records president Gary Gersh. Impressed with the band’s haunting sound, Gersh signed Dead Confederate to his new label, The Artists Organization, and issued their debut EP in early 2008. A full-length album, Wrecking Ball, followed in September. Andrew Leahey, All Music Guide

About Shannon
Shannon McNally was born and raised on Long Island, New York but has spent most of her adult life traveling and living all over North America. After graduating college with a degree in Religious Anthropology she followed Los Lobos out to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music. She quickly signed with Perry Watts-Russell to Capitol Records/ EMI. />
Rolling Stone Magazine gave her debut album released in January of 2002, Jukebox Sparrows (Capitol Records), 3 1/2 stars. Jukebox Sparrows also spawned the AAA radio hit “Now That I Know,” which appeared on the ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ soundtrack. She teamed up with Ryan Adams’ sideman Neal Casal around the same time for a collabrative project called ‘Ran On Pure Lightening’. Her song “Pale Moon” from was picked up by Putamayo Records as the first track on their American Folk Album. />
In 2000 she moved to New Orleans. ‘The city summoned me. It called me into it’s depths and it devoured me’. It was here that her writing’s innate earthy-end-of-the-world-defiance took on a weight and pathos which ultimately defined the mood and message of her 2005 release ‘Geronimo’ on Back Porch Records (EMI). Produced by Charlie Sexton, the record got a lot of strong support at AAA radio and on Satelite Radio. McNally toured extensively behind it from 2005-2007, doing national tours with a band and as a solo performer. During this time she also recorded a live record called ‘North American Ghost Music’ as well as a second album with long time friend and producer Charlie Sexton called ‘South Side Sessions’. />
Unable to return to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina Shannon settled into North Mississippi with her husband and daughter. Her newest project is called ‘Coldwater’. It was recorded with Jim Dickinson at his Zebra Ranch Studio just before his passing. The record features Shannon’s regular touring band called Hot Sauce; they are Jake Fussell, Eric Deaton and Wallace Lester. />
McNally has toured and done shows with Willie Nelson, Stevie Nicks, John Mellencamp, Charlie Sexton, Son Volt, Ryan Adams, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Derek Trucks, Rail Road Earth, Rufus Wainwright, Levon Helm and Lou Reed. She has appeared on NPR, The Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Mountain Stage and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Her voice has appeared on recordings by Jim Dickinson, Mac Rebennack, John Hiatt, Rufus Wainwright, Hal Wilner, Wardell Quezergue and Son Volt among others
Scott H. Biram http://www.myspace.com/scotthbiram Rock ’n’ Roll ain’t pretty and neither is Scott H. Biram. The self proclaimed ’Dirty Old One Man Band’ successfully, and sometimes violently, lashes together blues, hillbilly and country precariously to raucous punk and godless metal. ??Biram ain’t no dour ass singer/songwriter either, sweetly strumming songs about girls with big eyes and dusty highways. HELL NO!!! His singing, yodeling, growling, leering and brash preachin’ and hollerin’ is accompanied by sloppy riffs and licks from his 1959 Gibson guitar and pounding backbeat brought forth by his amplified left foot. The remainder of this one-man band consists of an unwieldy combination of beat-up amplifiers and old microphones strung together by a tangled mess of guitar cables.??Years of non-stop touring have honed his assault to a fine edge; his wide-eyed throw downs in the First Church of Ultimate Fanaticism routinely lead giddy followers to a fiery baptism.??Scott H. Biram wont die. On May 11th, 2003, one month after being hit head-on by an 18-wheeler at 75 MPH, he took the stage at The Continental Club in Austin, TX in a wheel chair - I.V. still dangling from his arm. With 2 broken legs, a broken foot, a broken arm and 1 foot less of his lower intestine, Biram unleashed his trademark musical wrath.??When Scott H. Biram took the stage at his 2004 SXSW festival showcase right after Kris Kristofferson he was quoted as growling "They said that was a hard act to follow....I’m a hard act to follow motherfuckers!!" The stunned crowd looked on.
Razorcake Amped-up, dirty, blazing garage punk is what this band plays. This is a band that would have been very much at home on Junk Records a decade ago and on stage opening for the Candy Snatchers or the Hookers. Fans of everything from Electric Frankenstein to Stiletto Boys to the Bodies and Stitches will find a whole lot to like on this disc. –Mike Frame (Wrecked ‘Em) MAXIMUM ROCK N ROLL Fuck Yeah!! This is fuzzed out, lo-fi fock ’n’ roll the way I like it!! Thumping bass and drums and howling guitars abound on this, with slightly over-driven/distorted vocals covering all the requisite rock ’n’ roll subject matter. This is highly recommended to all you garage rock ’n’ rollers out there who are into bands like THE MAKERS, THE DRAGONS, ELECTRIC FRANKENSTEIN, LITTLE KILLERS, etc., etc. NO FRONT TEETH This killer debut from THE ANGLE SLUTS is oozing with that unmistakable Memphis punk rock ‘n’ roll swagger, it’s wild, gritty, out of control and fucking rocks…it truly ROCKS - and that’s not an expression I use often at all but I got no choice here!! There’s definitely a raucous Rip Off edge to this, a touch of the REDS or LIDS…fuzzy, distorted and very addictive. We were all honestly really excited about this full-length coming out and we still spin their split with the SIX STRING JETS (also on Wrecked-Em) all the fuckin time so if we had top tens, ‘Designer Heat’ would definitely make it on all of ours…all the punk, rock ‘n’ roll, garage, rock and bluesy elements gel together so damn well that it’s fucking faultless, I can not recommend this enough…you know, fuck it, this is my record of the year…just in there in December (knocked Autistic Youth off the top spot) I’m fully addicted.
A.A. Bondy http://www.myspace.com/aabondy A.A. Bondy is actually the birth name (the initials stand for Augeste Arthur) of Scott Bondy, the former lead singer of Birmingham, AL’s Southern grunge darlings Verbena, frequently compared to Nirvana because of their gritty, aggressive sound and Bondy’s searing vocals. The band, which also initially included drummer Les Nuby and bassist Daniel Johnston, was formed when all three were in high school in the early ’90s. Later singer and guitarist Anne Marie Griffin joined the trio, then called Shallow. Nuby eventually left the group and was replaced by original Remy Zero drummer Louis Schefano, and after a name change to Verbena, the band released the EP Pilot Park on Merge. Nuby rejoined the band a year later in time for Verbena’s debut full-length, Souls for Sale, which caught the ears of Dave Grohl, who agreed to produce the band’s major-label debut, Into the Pink. Johnston left the band, making Verbena a trio once again, and it was as a trio that Verbena recorded their third album, 2003’s La Musica Negra, before calling it quits. Bondy retreated to his Catskills home in Palenville in upstate New York and in time began writing songs again, emerging with a stripped-down indie folk sound. He recorded and mixed his debut solo album, American Hearts, at a barn near his home, releasing the project in 2007 on the Superphonic imprint. The album was picked up by Fat Possum and re-released early in 2008. A second Fat Possum album, When the Devil’s Loose, appeared in 2009. ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide
JBM http://www.myspace.com/jessemarchant JBM is the music of Jesse Marchant. Tombs http://www.myspace.com/tombsbklyn Brooklyn’s TOMBS deliver a stunning tour-de-force with their Relapse Records debut Winter Hours. The trio tread a unique musical path that draws equally from several disparate music worlds. The austere and appropriately-titled album is a somber, sobering affair that brings together hypnotic psychedelic harmonies, lush and introspective sonic textures, and a relentless intensity found in the most blackened metal to stunning effect. Whether through driving melodies, explosive noise, or the most fragile of interludes, Winter Hours hits hard and resonates deeply within the listener.

Lucero http://www.myspace.com/lucero Lucero’s sixth studio album and major label debut, 1372 Overton Park, is due October 6 on Universal Republic Records. Produced by Ted Hutt (The Gaslight Anthem) and featuring horn arrangements by legendary Memphis session player Jim Spake (Al Green, John Hiatt, Solomon Burke, Cat Power), the record marks a decided turn toward the Memphis soul sound that has long informed the band’s records from afar. 1372 Overton Park follows the band’s 2006 release, Rebels, Rogues & Sworn Brothers, hailed by Pitchfork as “the best showcase for the band’s taut dynamic yet.” After a run of festival and club dates this summer, Lucero will tour throughout the fall in support of the new album with the Lucero Ramblin’ Roadshow & Memphis Revue, a traveling roadshow featuring Amy LaVere, Cedric Burnside with Lightnin’ Malcolm, Jack Oblivian, John Paul Keith & the One Four Fives and The Dirty Streets. Please see reverse for a list of dates.
The new album’s name comes from the address of the Memphis loft in which all four band members lived, practiced and even recorded portions of their 2003 release That Much Further West (the history of the space itself is even more colorful—in the ..70s, 1372 Overton Park was a karate dojo where local resident Elvis Presley, among others, took lessons). Over recent years band members have gradually moved out leaving lead singer and guitarist Ben Nichols the sole resident of the space until word finally came down that the building would be sold and demolished. Almost as if marking the end of an era not only for the building but for the band as well, this record turns the page and signals a strong move toward the Memphis soul sound that has long served as an influence for the group. Nichols explains, “When [saxophonist] Jim Spake put that first horn track down, we began thinking of the record as having a certain sound. We heard pieces of Memphis history being played over our songs and it floored us and we just went with it.”
While 1372 Overton Park serves as a love letter to Memphis and its musical heritage, the band has far from abandoned the country/rock/punk influences that they’ve become known for over their previous five records and countless tour dates in front of rabid fans. “I think the fact that we don’t claim a genre is very important to what Lucero is,” according to Nichols. “There are too many rules in punk rock. Too many rules in country music. We’re hard headed and…god damn if we don’t do things the way we want to do them.”
Playing between 150-200 live shows a year, Lucero has come to be known as much for their hard-touring work ethic as for their critically acclaimed records. In addition to his work with the band, lead singer Ben Nichols also released a solo record in early 2009 and co-stars in MTV’s $5 Cover, a series about the Memphis music scene.
Ultimately, Lucero live to rock and rock to live. No more. No less. Its really that simple. -Amy Sciarretto
Rebels, Rogues and Sworn Brothers was released September 26, 2006 on Lucero’s own Liberty & Lament label.
Bulletproof Vests http://www.myspace.com/thebulletproofvestsattack In the spring of 2009, the Memphis music scene was dealt a devastating blow by the loss of local sextet Terry Ronslaw & The Porksleeve. Terry and his band had built a huge following and established a reputation for always agreeing to open for any nationally touring act regardless of genre or location of venue, requesting only free alcohol and a limp handshake in return. By virtue of being the greatest living rock band ever, interest was expressed by several small to medium sized independent record labels. But the band became disinterested, stopped rehearsing, and decided to “focus on recording.” Local venues were left scrambling for someone – anyone - to fill the gaping void. In the Porksleeve’s place stepped, The Bulletproof Vests. Birthed out of the ironically mustached underbelly of Midtown Memphis on April Fool’s Day 2009, The Bulletproof Vests have become Memphis’s hottest Rock and Roll sensation (unverified). They were brought together by a mutual love of vocabulary based humor, red amplifiers, and of course, destiny. Names of band members are sometimes spelled like this: Jake Vest, Toby Vest, Greg Faison, Dirk Kitterlin, and Brandon Robertson. It’s been said that each band member plays an instrument and brings his own unique influences to the group. Bursting onto the scene with their debut album, Attack!, The Bulletproof Vests have proven their ability to "slot together in classic Memphis tight-but-loose fashion" (Blurt-Online). With just one listen to their hot new single, “Don’t Throw My Love Away,” one can easily tell that they have taken their deep love for locally cultivated music, swished it around, and spit out a sound that is most unique.
Three years since their last studio record, New Found Glory are back at their fighting weight and ready to take on all challengers with their Epitaph debut Not Without A Fight, in stores March 10. In support of the release, NFG will hit the road with Bayside, Set Your Goals and Verse on a seven week tour that kicks off on March 25th in Tempe AZ. Tickets for all dates go on sale on January 29.
Not Without A Fight promises to be one of those classic New Found Glory records. All the huge pop anthems, sing-a-long choruses and hyperactively catchy riffs that got them off to their wildly popular start are back in full force. Songs like “Listen to Your Friends” and “Truck Stop Blues” highlight the accessibility of both NFG’s sound and lyrics. Not Without a Fight is an instant fan favorite.

Undisputed Pop-Punk Champs New Found Glory Will Release New Album On March 10th
Pop-punk’s reigning champs, New Found Glory, come out swinging on their hotly anticipated new album, Not Without A Fight, due March 10th on Epitaph Records. Defending their title against any and all contenders, the platinum-selling group’s sixth studio album delivers a one-two knockout with fist-pumping hooks and catchy sing-along choruses. Working with producer Mark Hoppus (Motion City Soundtrack, The Matches) and mixer Neil Avron (Fall Out Boy) in their corner, NFG prove that challengers don’t stand a chance.
In anticipation of the release, New Found Glory will kick off the Fight on January 6th with an album pre-sale, online video game and a weigh-in press conference that will be followed by - in true NFG fashion - hysterically funny training videos launching each week beginning January 22nd that will ultimately lead up to the main event: a new music video for their first single "Listen To Your Friends."
New Found Glory have been slugging it out for over a decade alongside bands like Green Day and Blink 182, becoming one of the most celebrated pop-punk bands in the world. Known for their trademark humor and fun loving attitude, the band’s latest effort will bring smiles to fans’ faces once again.
The band’s ability to consistently produce pop-punk favorites, album after album, has made New Found Glory a household name worldwide and Not Without A Fight raises the bar. Pop-Punk’s Biggest Act Will Release New Album With Epitaph Records In 2009
Epitaph Records is proud to announce the signing of pop-punk’s most notorious band, New Found Glory. The steadfast rockers are currently wrapping up the recording of their seventh studio album, which was produced by Mark Hoppus (The Matches, Motion City Soundtrack), mixed by Neal Avron (Linkin Park, Fall Out Boy) and due out in spring 2009. Watch the band’s video announcement here.
For the past decade, New Found Glory has entertained fans with fun, energetic music, releasing six classic pop-punk albums, including three gold records New Found Glory, Sticks and Stones and Catalyst. The group’s move to Epitaph marks the next chapter in the band’s renowned career.
"Picking a new label was a scary thing for New Found Glory," explains Chad Gilbert. "The music industry has been changing so much and more and more bands are being treated and presented like some Wal-Mart pop act with guitars. We have real diehard fans and we wanted to find a home that would represent NFG the right way. A label that knew our music scene. Epitaph is the place to be! They were all longtime, true fans of new found glory and they understand us. We aren’t just some record to put out before the new Pussycat Dolls CD! A real music label. We were over the big business of the majors."
"It’s my great pleasure to welcome NFG to the Epitaph family," adds Epitaph’s owner and founder Brett Gurewitz. "Everybody here is over the moon about working with the greatest pop-punk band in history."
Stay tuned for upcoming announcements about New Found Glory’s new album in the coming months.

New found energy, new found purpose: that’s what Not Without A Fight is all about. The first New Found Glory album to bear the Epitaph logo brims with fresh promise, showcasing a band comfortable in their own skin and eager to get back to basics and present it all to the world. Not Without A Fight is arguably the strongest addition to an impressive catalog with no less than three gold records and some of the most memorable songs of the past decade.
Album opener "Right Where We Left Off" is an instant reminder of the keen self-awareness that endeared New Found Glory to millions of fans worldwide in the first place. And naming their album Not Without A Fight? That’s a nod to that other side of the group Epitaph owner Brett Gurewitz called "the greatest pop-punk band in history," the side that is scrappy, that’s from the do-it-yourself scene. The side of a band who probably never should have been lumped in with some of the more teeny-bop friendly fare they’ve often shared the rock radio and TRL charts with.
Lead single "Listen to Your Friends" flips the script by rocking a verse even catchier than its chorus; "I’ll Never Love Again" boasts a killer singalong. "47" has a hooky scream that breaks new ground for the Florida-bred five-some while "Truck Stop Blues" summons the potent urgency of the burgeoning scene that New Found Glory arose from, recalling a bygone era when they shared small stages with their friends in Get Up Kids, Piebald and Saves The Day.
Not Without A Fight packs together the best elements of fan favorite albums like Sticks and Stones (2002) and Catalyst (2004) with a reinvigorated drive making for a declaration that’s fresh and timely. There’s pop, there’s punk, there’s crunch, there’s those irrepressible melodies and Jordan Pundik’s instantly recognizable voice is in fine form.
"Nobody in New Found Glory loves anything as much as this band," says guitarist Chad Gilbert, by way of explanation as to how they have managed to maintain the same lineup - Pundik, Gilbert, Steven Klein (guitar), Ian Grushka (bass) and Cyrus Bolooki (drums) - for over ten years. "You fight with your mom. You don’t hang out with her all the time. But you love her! You’re never going to hate her. We’re family. It might sound cliche, but that’s what it is."
That family first came together in Coral Springs, Florida in 1997. Nothing Gold Can Stay (1999) and New Found Glory (2000) became classics thanks to hard-touring and good natured relationship building the world over, which ensured the next two albums (Sticks and Stones and Catalyst) would both debut in the Top 5 on the Billboard 200 chart.
As happens all too often, the uber-successful and beloved band found themselves delivering Coming Home to a group of relative strangers who lacked the same investment in them as before. By 2006, many of the folks who worked with the band at the label had been replaced by new faces, from the president on down. "At major labels, people are always losing their jobs," Gilbert points out. "Someone can love your band one week and the next week that person is fired."
With their recording contract fulfilled and in between management, New Found Glory seized the opportunity to have some fun while weighing their options, releasing From the Screen to Your Stereo Part II (something their most ardent supporters had demanded for years) and a split EP with their alter-ego, International Superheroes Of Hardcore.
"It brought this different attention to our band that we hadn’t had in a while," Gilbert says. "Through the major label years, some of those lines got blurred because of some of the things the label did representing our band. With the release on Bridge 9 Records, we were able to do things how we wanted to do them. It was awesome."
In the midst of all of this, the band continued to write their next album, which they ultimately decided to record before choosing a new label. That’s where +44 / Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus came in, agreeing to produce Not Without A Fight at the studio he co-owns with Travis Barker. "He’s an old friend of ours," Gilbert explains. "We had no money to make the record so we wanted someone with the confidence to do the album for free and get reimbursed later."
Eventually, of course, the label situation needed sorted out, as the guys in New Found Glory have no desire to be in any kind of "business" other than than business of writing great songs, recording them and playing them live. "When we announced that we were no longer signed to Geffen two years ago, Brett Gurewitz was the first one to call me," Gilbert remembers. "’People at Epitaph are all music fans and have their shit together."
And as for that spectacular accolade from the man running their new record label home? "It’s crazy!" Chad says, laughing. "The Descendents could take that crown way before we could, or Screeching Weasel, or Green Day. I don’t know why he said that! He’s crazy. It’s flattering. It’s really flattering. But I don’t know what to say!"
New Found Glory’s first Epitaph album has no guest appearances, no frills, nothing but fantastic songs and powerful performances. "If you really listen to our music, you can’t pigeonhole it. We play music that we love." Not Without A Fight is alternately the band’s most streamlined and direct but powerful and broad album thus far.
"New Found Glory is back to where we want it to be: we tour, we play music and it’s from the heart." Posted By: Epitaph Records

Mondo Generator http://www.myspace.com/mondogenerator Nick Oliveri (under the moniker Rex Everything) formed Mondo Generator in 1997 and with friends Josh Homme, Brant Bjork, Rob Oswald, and others, recorded the debut album, Cocaine Rodeo. The album wouldn’t be released until 3 years later due to Oliveri and Homme being full-time members of Queens of the Stone Age. The album was released by cult-favorite Southern Lord Records in 2000. There was little support of the album by the way of live shows, and the band gained cult status among the most devoted Queens of the Stone Age fans.
Tweak Bird http://www.myspace.com/tweakbird Tweak Bird is a brother duo consisting of Caleb and Ashton Bird. Produced under the helm of Deaf Nephews (Melvins’ Dale Crover and Altamont’s Toshi Kasai), the duo’s debut is a sweeping seven-song intro to a band exploring the depths of heavy experimental, progressive, and psych-infused rock. A sort of musical Armageddon that’s constantly on the horizon, looming. Tweak Bird has played shows with the Melvins, Ancestors, Earthless, and many others. Picked by the Melvins, they played at ATP’s The Nightmare Before X-Mas 2008 edition, curated by the Melvins and Mike Patton. Currently, they are on tour as openers for Tool during a 12-show, 3-week swing through Canada and the US.

Titus Andronicus http://www.myspace.com/titusandronicus Titus Andronicus is a rock and roll band from Glen Rock. There are four people in the band. Titus Andronicus take their name from a minor Shakespearean tragedy, not, as many people believe, from some sort of killer robot from the future. Titus Andronicus formed in the spring of 2005. Titus Andronicus’ debut long player, "The Airing of Grievances" was released in April of 2008 by Troubleman Unlimited, and re-released by XL Recordings in January 2009. XL will release Titus Andronicus’ sophomore long player, "The Monitor," in March 2010.
Titus Andronicus have shared stages with such noted, world-famous luminaries as Yo La Tengo, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, No Age, The Hold Steady, Fucked Up, Times New Viking, and Los Campesinos. Titus Andronicus practice at Ian’s house.
Titus Andronicus sometimes disagree on what is the right thing to do. Titus Andronicus like to scream and carry on at excessive volume. Titus Andronicus like songs which are fast more than songs which are slow. Titus Andronicus think slow songs are okay sometimes. Titus Andronicus never sing about love, only hate. Titus Andronicus have no hope for the future. Titus Andronicus believe only in nothingness. Everyone in Titus Andronicus was born to die. Titus Andronicus crave your approval but will settle for your utter disdain.
Above all else, Titus Andronicus want to sleep on your floor.

Cory Branan http://www.myspace.com/corybranan Cory Branan joined the ranks of Ryan Adams, Pete Yorn, and Bright Eyes’ Conor Oberst at the dawning of the new millennium as one of the many impressive singer/songwriters to watch. Born and raised in Southaven, MS, Branan was surrounded by music from an early age. His father, Dallas Branan, was a local drummer. By his teens, the younger Branan was playing death metal and eventually fronted a Black Sabbath cover band. It wasn’t until he was in his early twenties that he explored the music of John Prine, a move than urged him to pick up a guitar and start writing songs. In 2000, the Memphis chapter of NARAS awarded Branan with the Phillips Award for Newcomer of the Year. He didn’t even have a recording contract yet, and the honors started rolling in. Two years later, Branan made his label debut with Madjack with the release of The Hell You Say. 12 Songs followed in early 2006.
