Rufina Taproom presents:

Swords of Fatima

The Swords of Fatima morphs your ideas of Rock or Punk towards a fierce version of Exotic Tibetan Spy Music.  Front woman, Buko Pan Guerra, guitarist and singer, known as the "Bad Ass Bitch with a Banjo” plays her guitar in a banjo-styled tuning.  She is fascinated by ancient stories and music from all around the world.  Nick Scott is the architect behind the drums. Nick has many years developing his craft behind the set with LA’s Al’s Bar Favorite, POPDeFECT. Since forming in 2006, they have produced 4 albums on their own label (Long Blade) and tour internationally. A fifth album is due to be released 2018, "Himalayan Freakout". A sixth album is also in the works called, "Mirage of the Stoney Eclipse".

Since his solo debut in Detroit in 2007, independent American singer Georgio 'the Dove' Valentino has produced six DIY records and dozens ofpamphlets of essays and free verse. He has performed hundreds of live shows across four continents and has collaborated with post-punk pioneers Blaine L. Reininger  and Steven Brown (Tuxedomoon), Mick Harvey (the Birthday Party/PJ Harvey), David McClymont (Orange Juice) and Vic Godard (Subway Sect).

Now based in Luxembourg after a lengthy sojourn in Brussels, Dove draws a line under the decade-long project with the release of The Future Lasts a Long Time, a semi-autobiographical swan song in a 17" vinyl box set, and one last trans-Atlantic tour.

Fox White

Fox White hits hard with a combo of metal riffs and punk energy. Local hero Jessie Deluxe leads the attack with acrobatic vocals that effortlessly cycle between elegant and fierce.
"Fast and aggressive with complementary departures into their operatic rock." -Jonny Leather, Mecca Lecca
