Josh Googins’ music has been shaped by the rich blues history of his home town of Austin, TX. As a teen, his band The Green Leaf Stumblers recorded and performed in some of the city’s best studios and venues before Josh left to study music at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) in Liverpool, England. After over a decade of songwriting and band direction, including his own project Cause In Effect (produced by Frenchie Smith at The Bubble recording studios in 2012), Josh is gearing up to release his debut album, Look Up, a mixture of West Texas desert folk, Texas blues, and psych-rock that is sure to speak to music lovers of all ages and musical tastes.
