Patricio Reygadas

Patricio currently serves as the President of EVUS, Inc., an engineering technology firm based in Las Cruces. His career as an electrical engineer spans 30 years, while also working in telecommunications, information technology, and energy generation industry. Building on these skills, Patricio has spent the last 15 years running startup companies all over Latin America during which time he has worked with investors, VC private equity investors and has gained first-hand knowledge of business and startup management best practices.

 

Dan Brooks

Dan Brooks is a Senior Associate at Sun Mountain Capital. Dan joined Sun Mountain after working for the New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration.  Dan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a Magna Cum Laude designation from the University of New Mexico.

 

Estela Hernandez

Estela Hernandez is the Managing Director, President and Chairman of the Arrowhead Innovation Fund. She has over 15 years of leadership and management experience working in the public health, interior design, and business sectors. Estela has a particular interest in seed- and early-stage companies. Estela launched a design strategy firm in Las Cruces, New Mexico in August 2012 where she works at the intersection of design thinking and business strategy, helping entrepreneurs and startups design innovative business models and compelling customer experiences using new frameworks and tools. Since 2013, she has served as an Enterprise Advisor at Arrowhead Center where she teaches design thinking innovation and advises clients of the Arrowhead Technology Incubator and Studio G student business accelerator, preparing them for the investment due diligence process. Hernandez is a Kauffman Fellow, a member of a distinctive world-wide network of expert innovation investors who provide smart, connected capital to fuel entrepreneurial change. Prior to earning an MBA in Design Strategy from the groundbreaking program at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco, Estela earned a Bachelor of Community Health from NMSU and studied interior design with a concentration in healthcare facility design at The Illinois Institute of Art – Chicago.

Beto Pallares-Venegas

Ebetuel “Beto” Pallares-Venegas was born in Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico and raised in El Paso, TX. He is an active high tech early-stage investor, university lecturer and conducts research on incubators and accelerators; he also serves on several corporate and venture fund advisory boards. He founded Joseph Advisory Services, an early stage venture capital and economic development advisory firm. He is also the sole general partner of Proficio Capital Management, an early-stage fund. He is a Kauffman Fellow, as well as a Presidio Institute Cross Sector Leadership Fellow. He also serves on the NMSU Intellectual Property Advisory Committee. Dr. Pallares received a BA in Economics, an MBA and holds a PhD in International Business.
