Join the NMTC Big Data peer group on Tuesday, February 19th and learn more about the role of data governance.
This presentation distinguishes the concepts of Data Governance and Information Governance and lists the data governance functions that need to be fleshed out and established as part of an organization’s information management strategy in order to serve as the foundation of the more encompassing function of Information Governance. With planning, an Information Governance strategy will gradually create an Enterprise Information Management (EIM) framework to carry out all of an organization’s information management work in the present and future. Future directions involving data governance will also be explored and a model healthcare enterprise already far along in the information governance process will be displayed.
