Led by Glenn Vigil as Bob Seger, the band is comprised of respected veterans of the Colorado musical circuit in addition to a couple of talented fresh faces.
Over the course of six decades, Seger and his backup bands, including the Silver Bullet Band, landed 31 hit songs on the Billboard Hot 100 and sold over 75 million records worldwide. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2012.
We’re Still the Same balances its Seger set by including fiery roots rockers (“Katmandu,” “Her Strut,” “The Fire Down Below”) melodic masterpieces (“Still the Same,” “Mainstreet,” “Against the Wind”), garage psychedelia (“Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man”), introspective anthems (“Turn the Page,” “Travelin’ Man”/Beautiful Loser”) and the bedrock classic “Old Time Rock and Roll.”
“I think we’ve got to be the only garage band in the USA that throws or own Festival!” says Duke Street singer…Ranger Miller. During its 17-year existence, The Duke Street King's “Blues & BBQ for Better Housing Block Party” has raised over $130,000.00 for Habitat for Humanity in Metro Denver. It is the longest running fund raiser for Habitat in the Denver area, and it has also become the hottest showcase for local blues talent!
The Duke Street Kings play a mean Bruce Springsteen Tribute as well as a full-blown Chicago Blues show. With succinct guitar riffs, wailing sax and smoky vocals Duke Street…has it all. If you are looking for an entertaining band that can bring a crowd to their feet, time and time again…then look no further!
The band consists of: Ranger Miller - Vocals & Guitar, Ed May - Bass Guitar, Doug Egan – Keys,
Tony Arcenaux – Horns, Sam Miller - Lead Guitar & Vocals & Dan Raab - Drums
