Sadé Munirah

Starting her musical journey as a classical and opera vocalist, Sadé Munirah has now established herself as an R&B/Soul singer-songwriter, and recently released her debut album, "You Told Me To" in January 2019. Sadé Munirah is a New Mexico Native, and prides herself in the various cultures she comes from, having duel citizenship in Sweden and being raised Muslim for most her life. Sadé Munirah is managed by Native Q Studios and represented by OH LAWD Records. She is currently creating an E.P. with producer, Timothy (BOS) Bullock.

Burque Sol

From Albuquerque, NM Burque SOL is a group of Burqueños who have come together to represent New Mexico Culture! Based out of the heart of Downtown Albuquerque featuring Charlitoz on guitar, Tony Man on bass, and Petey on drums and Chris Cruz on hand percussion. Burque Sol is a High Desert Reggae driven sound that fuses elements of Blues, Latin, and Soul to create a "Burque" vibe! One love! Peace!

About the Charities

Since 2001, The Children’s Grief Center of New Mexico (CGC) has been providing free bereavement services to children ages 5-25 after the death of a loved one. At the CGC, children see that there are other children just like then, that the death was not their fault, and that there are healthy ways to process their experience and remember their loved one. New Mexico is 4^th in the nation for childhood bereavement, as 1 in 10 (or 53,500) children will lose a parent or sibling before the age of 18 (Jag Institute/Judi’s House). Studies show that children with unresolved grief have a higher risk of developing lifelong struggles such as depression, substance abuse, unhealthy coping techniques, criminal activity, etc. By providing a safe place and age appropriate ways to process grief, children can find the hope and healing they need to move forward.

In 2016, the GRC opened its doors and has since served over 2000 individuals experiencing grief. The Grief Resource Center offers understanding, hope, and encouragement to adults in NM who are experiencing grief. Grief occurs with all kinds of loss including illness, loss of employment, loss of dreams, divorce, suicide and death. It offers support to confront issues of grief by offering counseling, support groups and an abundant supply of resources to help guide New Mexicans on their individual “pathways to healing.”
