This year's cooking contest features foodie favorite, Kugel!
Kugel is a baked pudding or casserole, most commonly made from egg noodles or potato. It is a traditional Ashkenazi Jewish dish, often served on Shabbat and Yom Tov.
Place of origin: Jewish from Central and East Europe originally.
Main ingredients: Egg noodles or potatoes with many variations
Kugels may be savory or sweet. Celebrity judges will vote on 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place based on texture, taste, appearance and creativity. Entries are limited to a total of 20, 1 kugel per participant. $18 fee includes NoshFest entry. Kugels must be delivered to NoshFest staff by 11:30 am on Jan 12 at NoshFest. Judging will take place at 1 pm.
