“Completely Unexpected, Creatively Rich” (American Songwriter) New LP Mind The Moon Out Now

Today, Milky Chance — fresh off the release of their critically acclaimed new album Mind The Moon — announce an extensive North American tour, with 20+ headlining dates in Los Angeles, Nashville, Seattle, Atlanta, and more. See full dates below.

While childhood friends Phillipp Dausch and Clemens Rehbein’s past two albums have seen them take their blend of folk, electronic, hip-hop, world music, and chillout across continents and onto Fallon, Kimmel, and Conan, Mind The Moon, the band’s third album, is “frothing with greatness” (KUTX). It’s not only an impressive example of their free-flowing, eclectic songwriting, but pushes their sound into new places as they “embody new twists on the old concept of world music” (NPR Music). The album has received critical praise from NPR Music, American Songwriter, and many more — see press notices below.

Listen to the dancehall-inflected, fate-pondering “Fado,” which is featured on the FIFA 20 soundtrack:

“Daydreaming,” the album’s dreamy collaboration with Australian guitar phenom Tash Sultana, has already cracked 10 million streams worldwide — watch here:

More US dates will be announced later this year.

Aesthetically, the yearning reggae, Afro-pop, and Latin vibes evoke the classic '80s style of artists like Sting and Peter Gabriel...With Mind the Moon, Milky Chance offer a moon cycle's worth of sustained twilight-hour grooves." – AllMusic
