Freddie Steady Krc has pillared Austin music through myriad stylistic evolutions over the past five decades. Among his prolific
contributions is the West Coast-style folk-rock outfit Shakin' Apostles, whose 1995 LP Tucson included a tragic short story by the Texas Music Hall of Famer about 19th-century star-crossed lovers Sonny and Kara Lee. Krc revives the tale as folk-rock horse opera in verse
