Virtual Author Event on Zoom

Parnaz Foroutan is the author of The Girl from the Garden, which received the PEN Emerging Voices Award and was named one of Booklist’s “Top 10 First Novels” of 2015.

Her memoir Home is a Stranger is about her journey back to Iran as a young woman two decades after her family fled the rise of the Islamic theocracy. It is a memoir about the meaning of desire, the transcendence of boundaries, and the journey to find home.

This event is presented in collaboration with the the Jewish Book Council. Parnaz will present her book and answer questions. To purchase books in advance, our bookstore partners online: Bookworks (4022 Rio Grande Blvd NW) and Page 1 Books (5850 Eubank Blvd NE).

Upon registering, you will be sent a link for the Zoom event.
