Class limited to 11 participants.
When you sing or play your instrument, are you able to say what you want? Or is there more you’d like to say but are not sure how to get there? Are you new to improvisation? In this class, we will explore those pathways together in a fun, safe, supportive group setting online. Participants have the opportunity to perform for each other with play-along tracks (will be provided as needed) in a master-class workshop setting. All instruments, voices, and experience levels are welcome.
An alumnus of New England Conservatory, Jim Ahrend moved to Albuquerque from New York in 2008 where he quickly established himself as one of the busiest and most respected pianists in New Mexico, playing alongside local legends Bobby Shew, Doug Lawrence, Tony Lujan, and many others. A frequent performer at the Outpost, he has been a terrific recent addition to the Outpost education team.
