Anton Bruckner’s Symphony No. 4, “Romantic,” is the only one of his nine symphonies he gave a subtitle. The music ranges from brilliant horns to pastoral imagery. Growing across a harmonic background, it’s a masterwork that culminates with a mighty finish in which power, poise, and exhilaration all play a role. Music Director Roberto Minczuk wields the baton in this performance, the final NMPhil Coffee Concert of the season!
