Founded  in 2012, The Charlie Christian Project celebrates the music of the Oklahoma-born guitarist, Charlie Christian. The fiery and ground-breaking Christian was known for his playing with the Benny Goodman Sextet and as the house guitarist at Minton's Playhouse in New York. Although only 25 years old when he died in 1942, Charlie Christian left an enduring legacy to which this group pays homage. None other than Michael Anthony - New York born, LA based, and Albuquerque's master statesman of the guitar - will deliver the great music of Charlie Christian. Accompanying Michael will be Alex Murzyn - clarinet, Mickey Patten - bass, and John Trentacosta - drums.

This will be SFMC's first concert of 2022 and the first of our new "JAZZ CLUB SERIES" at "Club Legato". Club Legato (formerly Casa Sena) is located in downtown Santa Fe. It is the perfect small concert venue with great acoustics, plenty of parking, and a Fine Dining menu available.
