11th Annual Gathering of MC's - Intertribal Rap Competition & Showcase

Gathering of MCs is an annual music festival which unfolds within the traditional, unceded territory of the Tiwa people. Located in Albuquerque, this internationally curated event is in the heart of one of the most culturally diverse parts of New Mexico. The Gathering of MCs aims to cultivate the community deeply rooted in Hip-Hop music by providing a space where we can gather together to express ourselves through a collective love of music, freestyle or improvisational rap poetry, and cultural exchange. Join the Gathering of MCs family for a night of positive energy and become immersed in an inclusive showcase and competition dedicated to uplifting voices and also Indigenous artists. Gathering of MCs is one of the best events of its kind and is growing each year. Founded and hosted by Def-i (Christopher A. Mike-Bidtah), proceeds support headliners, grand prizes awarded to winners in both competitions, and the continuance of this independent event committed to modern-day storytelling over instrumental backings.
