1pm - "Whiskies of the World" with Scott Kelch
Join us for a special afternoon class with Idaho resident whiskey expert, Scott Kelch, of NorthStar Spirits!
- Take a trip around the world and learn the difference between several different world whiskies
- Learn about the unique mash bills, distillation, and barrel-aging processes, and what makes them special to their region and country
- Taste through a flight of delicious world whiskies!
- Enjoy a small charcuterie platter
Meet Your Class Master: Scott Kelch
Scott has been in the alcohol business since 2007. He started out as the Boise Sales Rep for a local liquor brokerage and soon became the Idaho State Manager, followed by later becoming the Regional Sales Manager, covering the Pacific Northwest. Upon the owner’s retirement, Scott started the liquor brokerage firm of NorthStar Spirits in 2011. Scott has been the Owner/Sales Manager ever since, covering the entire State of Idaho. NorthStar Spirits started out as a small brokerage in 2011 with three suppliers, and now, with the help of his wife, and a growing Sales Team, he has grown NorthStar to become one the most prominent independently-owned liquor brokerages in the State of Idaho. Scott has extensive experience launching and growing brands in Idaho. Throughout his career in the booze business, Scott has traveled domestically and internationally to numerous distilleries for hands-on training and education, and he is excited to share his world whiskey knowledge and expertise with you.
