Annie Moon is an indie folk artist drawing sound from a wide range of influences like Bessie Smith, Marvin Gaye, Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, Ben Harper and Fiona Apple to name just a few. Sanskrit mantras are also woven in, reminiscent of her traditional vocal studies in India from 2013-2016. Her songwriting thematically focuses on her deep connection to the natural world and the wild places that remain, the initiations of becoming a full spectrum human, and finding sanctuary in the everyday miracles that are often missed. Steph Waters style is spiritual folk punk, a lot of heart and a little kick. Her voice is powerful yet angelic, her message deep yet uplifting.
