"Making a Difference ~ A Hand Up for Austin Young & Family"

Making a Difference:
A Hand Up for Austin Young & Family

Colorado’s own Austin Young has thrilled us with his music for over 15 years. We’ve had the opportunity to see him grow from playing small clubs like the Toad Tavern, Crystola Roadhouse and Johnny’s Navajo Hogan to headlining large venues including The Oriental Theater and Buffalo Rose. Now married with two toddlers, 2024 has dealt his family a tough hand. His wife Clairelise was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in January, 2024 and has endured a year of pain and challenging treatments that have unfortunately proved unsuccessful thus far.

As you can imagine, the bills have been overwhelming. We are holding this fundraiser in January to help relieve some of the financial strain on the family. Please plan to join us at what is sure to be an afternoon of great music and an opportunity to pick up a couple silent auction items while we come together to show lots of love to the Youngs!

Jake Loggins Band

Jake Loggins has been a southern Colorado staple in the music community for 20+ years. With a blend of blues, country, jam band, and funky pockets, the Jake Loggins Band, with Jake on lead guitar and vocals, Rawbert Beard on guitar, Charlie Milo playing bass and Nick Smith on drums, promises a fun listening experience to anyone that cares to listen. Their major influences track back to the local music community passed down generationally. Hazel Miller will be adding her amazing voice to a couple songs during Jake's set.

Hazel Miller
Hazel Miller has performed in Colorado for four decades. After leaving Louisville, KY in 1984, where she was the #1 entertainer in the metro area & state for California, Ms. Miller arrived in Colorado and never left. Hazel has opened for Michael McDonald, Herbie Hancock and many more national stars. In 1995, she was asked to tour with Big Head Todd and the Monsters, an important milestone in her career. Inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame in 2023, Hazel will be a special guest with the Jake Loggins Band and A.J. Fullerton at this event.

Danielle Nicole & Brandon Miller
Hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, Danielle Nicole has spent her life making music and pleasing fans, domestically and abroad. Her stunning new album, “The Love You Bleed” on Forty Below Records, comprises twelve  heartfelt tracks exploring themes of love, loss and perseverance.  “Cry No More” (2018) followed, the record was nominated for a Grammy in the contemporary blues category and debuted at number one in the Billboard Blues Charts – it also boasts over Spotify streams in excess of 10 million. Nicole has been inducted into the Kansas City Hall of Fame and has been the recipient of eight Blues Music Awards.

Brandon Miller
Brandon Miller isn’t the typical product of the small, Midwest town of Gardner, KS.  From beginning to play at the age of 7, Miller always knew it was going to music that would be his driving force in life. Throughout his years of studying music formally, educationally, and experimentally through high school and into college, Miller also had a desire to write original music. Miller truly holds his own candle among the few able to truly speak through his instrument and is impossible to be stylistically confined to Rock, Country, Roots, Americana.

A.J. Fullerton

A.J. Fullerton is an American roots-rock artist originally from Colorado. Over the last decade he has carved out a niche as a finger style & slide guitarist, singer-songwriter, and producer. Touring both solo & with his full band, he draws from numerous influences classic & contemporary. A multiple Colorado Blues Society "Members' Choice Awards" winner, he will be joined by Hazel Miller and Nic Clark during his solo set.
