AKASH

Born and raised in the rural mountains of northern New Mexico, Akash picked up his first guitar when he was only eight years old. After finishing his degree in Mechanical Engineering and building his own recording studio, Akash placed as finalist for "Best Reggae Song of 2023" in the New Mexico Music Awards. Shortly after, he went on his first national tour and played at venues located in San Diego, Santa Barbara, Las Vegas, Connecticut, and New Mexico. In addition, he produced and recorded his second full-length album 'Perpetual Motion' as a fully independent artist. Akash's music is known for its surf-rock, cinematic reggae vibes with a heavier twist. This year he founded his own company and music label called 52 Sounds (www.52sounds.us.) He is currently engineering devices to help the everyday musician. His new single "Headspace" and his EP "Home" have been rising as the new fan favorite.
