One of a handful of young New Mexico musicians who has made it onto the national stage, Albuquerque born jazz saxophone player Rob Wilkerson has toured the world for seventeen years with Michael Buble’ and lived in New York for twenty one years, stacking up a list of credentials that most musicians can only dream of: Darcy James Secret Society, The Alan Ferber Big Band, Jihye Lee Orchestra are just some on his jazz list. In the classical world he was featured with The Chelsea Symphony in NYC and performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra in 2018. In addition to all that Rob has over two dozen recordings to his credit and two as a leader. His recent move to Las Vegas, Nevada has not exactly brought him back home, but close enough to be within striking distance to his roots. The Santa Fe Music Collective is honored to present Rob in concert at UNIT B, performing a mixture of some original compositions and some of the many jazz influences that have shaped his career. Rounding out the quartet will be Bob Fox - Piano, Gordon Johnson - Bass, and John Trentacosta - Drums.
