Albuquerque fans, Pink Martini also performs at the KiMo Theatre on March 24!
In 1994, Portland native Thomas Lauderdale founded Pink Martini to provide more beautiful, inclusive music for political fundraisers, blending classical, jazz, and vintage pop to appeal across political lines. He soon invited Harvard classmate China Forbes to join, and their first song, “Sympathique,” became a French hit. Known as a “little orchestra,” the band has sold over 3 million albums on their own label, Heinz Records, and built a reputation for multilingual, genre-spanning music with global collaborators. Pink Martini has performed with major orchestras and at prestigious venues worldwide, including Carnegie Hall and Royal Albert Hall, and was inducted into the Hollywood Bowl and Oregon Music Halls of Fame. Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2024, the band continues to represent a diverse and inclusive vision of America through music.
