Lorca Hart Quartet

Drummer Lorca Hart returns to Outpost, this time with his quartet featuring pianist Josh Nelson; bassist Edwin Livingston, and tenor saxophonist, Lyle Link. A Taos native and the son of legendary jazz drummer and 2022 NEA Jazz Master Billy Hart, he was inspired by his teachers and mentors Albert “Tootie” Heath, Joe La Barbera, Charlie Haden, and Wadada Leo Smith, and has worked with the West Coast’s (and beyond) finest artists, including Ralph Moore, Carmen Lundy, Freddie Hubbard, Stanley Jordan, Hugh Masekela, and the Clayton Brothers. Based in the Bay Area, Hart is a dedicated educator who serves on the faculties for numerous musical education venues, including the Stanford Jazz Workshop and SFJazz Center. $30/$20 Members. $15 students. Plus additional Ticketing Company Service Charge
