An Eclectic Original Journey: Carla Van Blake and Steve Terwilliger

New Mexico based singer-songwriter, Carla Van Blake, presents a concert reflecting her “eclectic musical journey.” Born in the Appalachian Mountains in the early 1950’s and raised in West Africa, Blake published her first collection of original tunes in 1993 and has since published two more. “Skinny Women Can’t Sing The Blues,” aired on radio in Sacramento in 1993. She released a collection of jazz originals which was nominated for four New Mexico Music Awards in 2018.
