Turtles Feast with Barry 'The Fish' Melton, Greg Douglass, Roy Blumenfeld, & Friends

The second annual Turtle's Feast is scheduled for Friday, December 12, 2025, at
HumBrews in Arcata, California. The show will be headlined by the Turtle's Feast All
Star Band featuring Barry "The Fish" Melton (Country Joe and the Fish, Dinosaurs),
Greg Douglass (rock and roll hall of famer with Steve Miller Band) and Roy Blumenfeld
(Blues Project) backed by local musicians: Matt Engel (Naïve Melodies), Leslie Ostrom
(Grateful Getdown), and Norman Bradford (Magnificent Sanctuary Band).
Dead On, a locally based acoustic Grateful Dead cover band will begin the musical
segment of the evening starting at 9 PM.
The VIP Feast begins at 7 PM with a meet and greet with the Turtle's Feast All Star
Band. Bring your favorite album or poster for a signature during the VIP dinner. The
super group of 60's musical icons and historical figures will appear in Arcata for one
night only.
At 8 PM there will be a live video appearance by Ken Babbs, one of the founders of the
Merry Pranksters talking about his book Cronies, A Burlesque: Adventures with Ken
Kesey, Neal Cassady, the Merry Pranksters, and the Grateful Dead. The appearance by
Ken will be followed by a presentation by Rhoney Stanley author of Owsley and Me.
She will be giving a talk about Spirituality, Robert Hunter and the Grateful Dead.
Please bring a can of food for the local food pantries to get advance GA pricing at the
door, together we can help share the feast with our community for the holidays.
The VIP dinner tickets will only be sold through the event website up until the day before
the show.
