AfroMundo Festival 2026: Jamila Woods

Outpost is pleased to partner once again with the annual AfroMundo Festival – now in its fifth consecutive year – to present its featured artist – poet, songwriter, and performing artist, Jamila Woods, who hails from the South Side of Chicago.  Woods first solo album, HEAVN was released by JagJaguwar Records in 2017 to critical acclaim and her sophomore release, LEGACY! LEGACY! (2019), features 12 tracks named after writers, thinkers, and visual artists who have influenced the creator’s life and work — including James Baldwin, Nikki Giovanni and Sonia Sanchez.
