Lisa Morales with Miguel Avina

One of Texas music's most captivating voices comes to the Front Range for a very special evening at the Buffalo Rose. San Antonio-bred, Austin-based singer-songwriter Lisa Morales brings her rich, soulful blend of Americana, folk, and Latin roots music to Golden for what promises to be an intimate and unforgettable night. A cousin of Linda Ronstadt, Lisa carries that same rare gift for emotional storytelling — weaving English and Spanish into songs that feel both deeply personal and universally resonant. Her voice is warm, powerful, and utterly disarming.

Opening the evening is the Miguel Avina, frontman of iZCALLi, one of Colorado's most beloved and dynamic live acts. This Front Range favorite has built a passionate following over more than a decade with their infectious fusion of cumbia, rock, funk, and Afrobeat — a sound that moves bodies and lifts spirits every time they take the stage.

Together, Lisa Morales and Miguel Avina make for an unforgettable pairing that celebrates the deep cross-cultural roots of Latin-influenced American music. You'll want to be at the Rose for this one!

Lisa Morales

Lisa Morales is a Texas-based singer-songwriter whose music bridges Latin heritage and American roots. Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, she was steeped in traditional Mexican music from an early age — a cultural influence that continues to shape her sound. A cousin of Linda Ronstadt, she rose to prominence as one half of the critically acclaimed duo Sisters Morales, releasing six albums that fused Latin rhythms, Americana soul, and poetic lyricism alongside her sister Roberta until Roberta's passing in 2021.

As a solo artist, Morales crafts songs that reflect her bicultural identity, performing in English, Spanish, and Spanglish across albums including Luna Negra, She Ought to Be King, and her most recent Sonora — a tribute to her sister featuring collaborations with JoJo Garza (Los Lonely Boys) and Tish Hinojosa, among others. Critics have praised her as "one of the most multifaceted artists to watch" (Rolling Stone), with music described as "an eruption… a total purge" (Magnet Magazine).

A producer, co-writer, and powerful live performer, Lisa Morales stands as a voice for multicultural expression, female empowerment, and the healing power of song.
