DESCRIPTION:The New Mexican Marimba Band performs on an authentic Mexican Marimba featuring the music of Steve Chavez, who is a teacher, screenwriter, composer/arranger, and collector of 38 Marimbas from around the world. Steve was a member of the NM Symphony, Chamber Orchestra of Albuquerque and Santa Fe Pro Musica. He has composed/arranged nine Concerti for Marimba and Orchestra and over 70 works for Marimbas, Steel-Drums, Latin-Jazz, pop, country, and religious.
