DESCRIPTION:With Hot Carne Seca, streaming May 29 from Jalopy Records (Brooklyn, NY), Lone Piñon celebrates a fresh collection of traditional norteño repertoire arranged in dialogue with each other and with their live audiences, encapsulating dynamic moments from stages throughout New Mexico and across the country.  In order to capture the energy and live chemistry of the group, they travelled to Eunice, LA, to record with Joel Savoy, Grammy-winning producer, Cajun musician and cultural activist, who is an expert at capturing the warmth and dynamics of live acoustic string bands.
