Bird of Paradise is a synthpop band from Oakland, CA - now based in Los Angeles. The project began in Hawaii when Rachael Ann began writing songs influenced by tropicalia and traditional Hawaiian music as well as bay area indiepop. Her songs are about loss, love, and heart-on-your sleeve stories interpreted through dance and pop. Denney, a recent collaborator from Oakland, brings a post-punk sensibility and production to the "Thief EP," out now on Itunes, Spotify and Bandcamp. Released through Cryptic Carousel tapes. https://birdofparadiseband.bandcamp.com/

Featuring members of Sing the Body and MonoTrio, indie rock group SPOOKY COUCH is making a name for themselves with rollicking shows in and around Honolulu, HI.

Originally formed in 2009 as Half Step Down, the band has built a strong following within the local scene with their unique display of melodic hard-hitting rock combined with soaring vocals. Reforming themselves in late 2017 to what is now Modern Mess, the band continues to work towards expanding their musical reach beyond their island boundaries.
