Artha Meadors is an electric bassist and Albuquerque native whose diverse musical journey spans Soul, Blues, Jazz, Metal, Hardcore Punk, and Progressive Rock. Raised playing in church and coming of age in the local punk and metal scene, he developed a unique genre-blending approach that shapes both his compositions and performances. Meadors stepped into the spotlight with his music—an expression of life experience woven through a vast sonic landscape–with his debut solo single, I Want to Be an Architect. Released in fall 2022 Architect showcases the kaleidoscopic sound he explores in writing and live performance. Meadors is currently working on a new album of original compositions for which he aspires to continue exploring his voice, no matter the musical realm.  For this performance, Meadors has assembled an adventurous group of musicians who he notes “thrive in the moment.” It’s Santa Fe’s Robert Mueller on keys; Jonah Minkus, drums; Mark Ellington, saxophone; longtime collaborator Claudio Tolousse on guitar; and special guest vocalist Josef Scott. Together, as Meadors describes, they craft “an immersive musical experience that reflects, twists, and subverts their collective influences.”
