Heartbreaking but life-affirming, Maynard’s memoir recounts finding her greatest love in her late fifties. Her husband’s death four years later and her return from tragedy is a reflection on understanding true love after great loss. Maynard is the author of seventeen books, including At Home in the World, the novel To Die For adapted for the screen starring Nicole Kidman, and the novel Labor Day also made into a film starring Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin.
